Regular VeloWeb visitors may have noticed some weirdness here the last few days.
Certainly your loyal VeloWebMaster did, and, yea, he did loudly wail.
As you can see, I put the wheels back on and everything is pretty much back to normal around here, after 3 days of frantic diagnosis (which remains uncertain) and fixing.
I am indebted to the great folks at Webnames for help above and beyond ….
I’d be much obliged if you see anything out of place I may have missed if you’d contact me and draw my attention to the errant element.
As you can imagine, my holiday weekend was no holiday. I’m going to take a break for a couple of days and regroup, but please come back soon for more tasty stuff. In the meantime, check out the archives. There’s lots to see.

Absolutely, Richard! The last few stressful days have reminded me that having so many eggs in a fallible digital basket has its downside. And think how much we now depend on functioning digital systems … as Blackberry owners are finding out the last few days.
Luckily, I was able to restore everything pretty much as it was, though I think there are a few more minor things to put back in the right place.
I have now invested in a complete backup system.
