Monday, I tweeted, a little prematurely, “I’m b-a-a-a-a-ck.”
Thing is, I’m not entirely here. As it turned out, I required more than a new crank bolt and had to stay in the “shop” much longer than anticipated. Now I need my hydraulic fluid flushed twice a day for the next six weeks.
Consequently, things might be slow around VeloWeb for a while longer, but I’ll try to finish up a couple of projects that are in the works.
Hopefully, I won’t be backpedalling too long.
In related news, my Marinoni Sportivo “Randonnée“ is back from hospital with a new lease on life. As soon as I can build it back up, I’ll report and post a few snapshots.
Victoria-area readers may be interested in welcoming Ryder Hesjedal home, following his amazing Tour de France performance and ultimate 7th place finish. On Saturday September 4, at Victoria Parkside Resort & Spa, Hesjedal will also be promoting Wheelmen Ride Bicycles, a worthwhile initiative to develop young competitive cyclists in Canada.
